Eight Weeks a Day

Little Eliot has reached the two-month mark, and as mommy says, "He's much cuter now than when he was born." The truth hurts, huh? Hopefully he won't get upset later on in life when he learns his mother didn't think he was that cute as a newborn. As you know it's been a while since I've posted, so we have lots to get to.
A career in phrenology, perhaps?
On May 8th there was a trip to the Kohl's Children's Museum in Glenview, and someone didn't want to go home.
Very proud of his work.
The following day, Mommy took the kids to visit great-uncle Scott and great-aunt Katie.
Hopefully we'll get to use these sometime very soon.
Look at those new shades!
He's so vain.
The crib looks awfully big with only a six-week-old baby in it.
For Mother's Day we had breakfast at Max and Benny's in Deerfield. I had banana-stuffed french toast. Yum.
Later in the day we headed to our favorite park in Gurnee.
Not often one sees a double rainbow.
One of mommy's partners, Dr. Anya Hartley.
All the kids.
Trying to cool down on a hot day.
Eliot's feet have always been fascinating to his big bro.
Who looks better in blue?
Before bedtime on May 19th we spent some QT at Illinois Beach State Park.
Mommy's been making a lot of smoothies lately, and I think someone likes them.
I think the stop to the Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store was a good idea.
Mommy's new carrier.
Look who can spell his name. Grandma Frau has been here since Thursday night and has been a big help.
Our new umbrella!
With cousin Sarah Bosley, who just recently graduated from U of I. Congrats!
Yesterday we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in Gurnee. What do you think of these snazzy sunglasses?
Finally, I want to acknowledge two recent events -- one sad and one happy. First, Mommy's great-aunt, Shirley Sonenfeld, passed away peacefully last week at the age of 86. I have known Shirley for the past nine years and will always remember her as extremely sweet and thoughtful. Second, our friend (and mommy's OB/GYN), Dr. Regan Valfer (and her husband, Dave Cohen), welcomed their first child, Oliver Jack Cohen, to the world on Friday. Mazel Tov!
