Independence Days

Now before you get all up in arms because I took the easy way out with the headline, there is some double meaning.

Since the last post Rachel is truly free as last Monday she took her written board exams! Now we just have to wait five or six weeks to get the results, but we're all confident in her standardized test taking prowess.

How did she get all three of us to look at the camera simultaneously?

Last Saturday (not yesterday) we drove to Milwaukee for the day to celebrate grandma Frances' 65th and great-grandma Ilse's 92nd birhday.

I also forgot to mention in an earlier post that we recently took Simon to his six-month check up. Here are the stats:

Height: 26 1/2 '' (50th percentile)
Weight: 17.1 lbs (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: We can't remember the number, but it was 25th percentile

One of the recommendations was to begin to introduce food. How do you think it's going thus far?

Tuesday night was the residency gradution party at Maggiano's in Skokie. Here's mommy with the two other graduates, Dr. Cara Butler (far left) and Dr. Amanda Robertson.

Part of the evening is a roast and toast, and this year each graduate received a white coat of their "favorite things."

It was certainly hilarious, but just as impressive was the quality of the artwork. Credits go to Jamie Lopata, whose mother is an OB/GYN attending physician at LGH.

Part of Friday was spent in Milwaukee at a BBQ, but before we headed there we stopped by Saba and Nana's place. They have a nice pool, so Simon took a dip with aunt Robyn, nana, and mommy.

One of the many things mommy loves about Simon is how he crosses his feet.

Whose condo is it, anyway?!?!?!?!?!
