This will most likely be the last post until the-reason-why-we-bought-a-minivan is born, so I thought I would do a big entry. Also, Tia texted me recently asking why there are no Texas pictures up. Alright, alright...I get the point.
The first day of 2014 was the day of the trip. The first stop was San Antonio. Here they are at the General Mitchell awaiting their flight.
On the plane.
At the Dallas airport for their connection. Nice snack.
Post ice-cream cone, and still waiting for the connection.
Getting off the plane in San Antonio.
After having a good night's sleep, they headed to Sea World.
How were they able to get Mac & Cheese at Sea World?
Now a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup? Geez, what a nice day.
Cotton Candy?!?!? No comment.
Busy Day.
Of course life didn't stop on the homefront. I order the kids' "apple bars" (Organic Valley cereal bars) on Amazon, and this is what gets delivered when three flavors are ordered at once! Taken January 3rd.

At Tia's friend Liz's house the next day.
At a nearby park.
That night they went to see
Frozen.
January 5th at a children's museum in Houston.
Now there's some character -- and characters -- on her walls!
On their way home, January 6th.
Oops, the first polar vortex got in the way, so back at Tia's for one more night.
The second attempt to come home the next morning.
Theo was very concerned about them not being at home yet.
It was a long journey, but they made it back home.
Everyone missed each other.

Three days later.
As you know I enjoy playing tennis and consider myself a decent player. But I didn't start until age 14. So now it's time to get the new generations going earlier than me. This is SOL's first class at my club. College scholarship anyone? Taken January 24th.
Two days later we played in the snow. It's very tiring to drag two kids on a sled in almost knee-deep snow.
January 26th. A little reminiscent of a video we took in Sweden in August of 2012.
Same morning. Trucks are cool.
Milkshake from Potbelly's. One of the best chain milkshakes out there. From January 28th.
Uh oh, we have now turned his seat forward. Whee! (he started saying that the first time he could see ahead). From January 31st.
The next morning.
We hadn't seen Saba and Nana in a while, so that night we went to visit them in Milwaukee.
February 4th, hanging at "Old McDonald's."
Same day. His first dentist appointment!
In times of distress, find your happy place.
He made it and did great.
One week later.
The new boys' room!
I think someone likes his soon-to-be new bed.
And this someone likes his, too.

Last weekend mommy and I took a little trip to Kohler. On Saturday night it was 80s night at the Horse & Plow. Way to participate, mommy!

Yesterday morning.
Last night was my branch's annual recognition dinner.
