The Mind and the Matter
Check out Mr. Car Arranger and Couch Acrobat (and if you're really perceptive, check out where little E is watching from in the first video).

Thanks Tia!
Unfortunately, Tia had to go back to Texas. However, it was great to have her here and the boys couldn't get enough. Hopefully she can come visit again soon!
I had a quick trip to Minneapolis last weekend (more on that later), and while I was gone Simon decided to bring back his Hot Wheels tracks that go on the wall.
And once the tracks were in place there was a little horsin' around to be done.
An old high school friend of mine, Kathy Ainsworth, was married and I was delighted to be invited. Before the wedding on Saturday I spent some time with my friends, Barak and Miriam Zahavy. Barak is another friend from high school, and he and his family live in Brooklyn. This is their two-month old son, Zev.
Back to the home front. More playing.
Kathy was married at the Guthrie Theater, and here were some of the views from outside on the balcony.
While the wedding was in full swing, this video was taken at home.
And here was the beautiful wedding cake (it tasted fantastic as well).
Ok enough of the back and forth between cities.
One of the things I missed was Roya Jimenez's 2nd birthday party. Roya's mom, Dr. Sogol Jahedi, was two years ahead of mommy in residency. It looks like there was some fun things to do.
Here's Eliot with Oliver Cohen. Oliver's mom is "aunt" Regan Valfer.
Here's Oliver's dad, Dave, pulling double duty on the swing set.
On Monday evening the house was littered with cars in every which direction. Simon loves to fling them all over the place, and for some reason we decided to look at how many rolled underneath the oven. Saying there were quite a few would be an understatement, and the area behind the stove was pretty tight after we pulled it out.
Good thing we have a skinny three-year-old.
Let's just say the cars were a little dirty, so Simon's next job was to clean them. Not only did he do a good job, but he was very proud of himself.
This was a crown he made at camp on Monday.
Tuesday night we all ventured to Aaron (our rabbi) and Elisa's house for dinner. And for a lot of the time Tia was here she was singing the P!nk song, "Just Give Me A Reason." Simon has been gradually picking up more and more of it.
Take it from there, SOL.
A new outfit for Eliot. Taken on Wednesday.

Favorite Fireworks
Before we get to Independence Day, on Thursday mommy and Tia took Simon and Eliot to Milwaukee to see Summerfest.
We had a great evening in Zion with our friends Dustin, Brianne, Aiden and Asher. Eliot stayed home with Mima, so the rest of us saw a nice session of fireworks. Simon commented a number of times saying, "That was my favorite!"
With Aiden on the left.
And here's the two of them with Asher in the middle.
And here's part of the grand finale.
