Rain Schmain

Just when you thought I was done posting for the day! It rained late this afternoon, but that didn't stop our Simon from having some fun outdoors. And a big THANKS to Aunt Robyn for supplying the gear for this joyous occasion!

Nice Weekend

Well, I am sure glad I had low expectations for the Vikings' season. They are now 0-2, and both games they had a nice lead at halftime. Christian Ponder, get ready, you might be playing soon. Now on to more pleasant topics. We had a very enjoyable weekend, with most of it spent outside. Yesterday morning I was on Theo poop patrol as you'll notice the nice green bags in each hand. Mommy wanted to make sure she got all three boys in the picture.
After the "yard work" was done, we headed to Lambs' Farm in nearby Libertyville.
Last night we went on a very nice walk in Van Patten Woods, which is a part of the forest preserve just a little north and west of us. No pictures or videos, though. This morning, Grandma Janet visited and we went back to the same park. We were very lucky that some horses came by and stopped for a rest. The riders let all of the kids nearby hop on for a spin. Simon was first.

Parks, Planes and Suds

Lots of fun was had by all yesterday. We started in the morning at the local park.
Next up later in the day was the airshow at the Waukegan Regional Airport. The weather was perfect, and, as you'll see, someone couldn't take his eyes off the aircraft.
Finally, I guess dumping water on daddy was quite a stitch.

From the Phone

These were taken from my phone over the last month. This is from August 15th right before bedtime.
This past Sunday we went on a bike ride in the local forest preserve and he fell asleep about a minute before we finished. Someone told me today that he looks like a six-year-old in this picture. You decide.

Book of the Month

Be patient as this clip is about two minutes, but I think you'll enjoy it. It's his most favorite book right now.
