Spring Is Here?

Not so sure about that. Taken this morning.

The Skinny

How could we not spend a lot of time outside on Sunday when it was 80 frickin' degrees! Weird weather year, that's for sure.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, his first skinned knee!

Despite the pain, he's still a happy big boy.

Nice to Be Out

We're supposed to have near record high temperatures today, so we're taking advantage. I made waffles this morning and we ate them on the deck in the back.

Simon then wanted to take the broom in the yard.

The Rest

We are back from San Diego and it was a very nice trip. Simon was very good on the plane and only had one short meltdown on each leg.

This was from Saturday night at dinner in Seaport Village. We all know Simon likes to eat a lot, but it appears a raw lemon just didn't take.

More from our hotel room Sunday morning.

Later in the morning we went out to breakfast near the hotel. The restaurant was called Cafe 222.

We weren't sure if he would know how to use an adult straw, but it wasn't an issue. He liked the fresh squeezed OJ.

Before the yummy blueberry pancakes arrived we had to give him something.

He really doesn't want to use his own forks anymore. The adult versions are much more exiting.

After breakfast we went to the water behind the hotel.

This was my first business trip in which I did not bring my laptop. I just had my new IPad and some accessories. Overall it went well.

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but after Simon's nap on Sunday we met Dr. Patino and Meg for lunch in Balboa Park.

After lunch we met uncle Aaron and aunt Shauna at the world famous San Diego Zoo!

Talk about being at the right place at the right time! We got to see a 2 1/2 month old baby hippo being nudged into the water by its mommy.

Talk about chillin'...

Waiting for our car from the Balboa Park valet.

Monday morning I had some business meetings, but mommy and Simon still had a lot of fun.

Pardon me, Garcon, but I'd like a second helping please! Step on it!

After breakfast mommy, Aaron and Shauna went to Del Mar. Shauna used to live nearby.

Then they went on to Seal Cove in La Jolla.

And back to the Bay behind the hotel. There was a whole lot of pointing going on this trip -- at birds, helicopters, ships, etc.

Rachel had a spa treatment Monday night, so we stopped to pick up some dinner for Simon before heading back to the hotel. This was taken outside the restaurant as we were waiting to pick up the grub.

Time for another fun day. Hello Tuesday morning!

I wouldn't necessarily groove this way, but who am I to give dance lessons?

All done brushing those pearly whites!

It's cereal bar time.

After breakfast mommy and Simon did some more exploring.

Yesterday after my business session was over we went to Old Town for lunch. It was yummy but according to Simon the best part was the music.

We had to work off the good eats, so next we went on a short hike in Torrey Pines State Reserve.

This one speaks for itself.

That is some serious pineapple movement.
