Stand and Deliver

Looks like crawling forward wasn't enough. Now Simon wants to stand up as well. How could he be so presumptuous?

Yesterday we all went on a very nice hike in Illinois Beach State Park.

Put in some Dramamine for this one.

One is never too old to have fun...

And destroy the knees.

Time for a nap.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 5771. Let's make sure we all root for the Twins, Timberwolves and Vikings this upcoming season.

Simon is preferring to feed himself at times, but he's still working on his delivery.

Now you see him...

Now you don't...

Since football is now upon us last Sunday was our last Sunday to get outside, so the family went on a nice little hike about five minutes away in the Lake County Forest Preserve.

He's not ready to put on his own shoes yet, but they sure do taste good.

It's also important to brush up on your tennis game when you can.

We had a small Labor Day gathering with our friends, the Melmans. Here's Elisa, Hannah and He-Who-Can-Be-Named.

Many mornings we now find him in this position.

All dressed up and ready for services. I know he's cute, but I give him a run for his money, right?

Lots to Tell

Even though it's only been five short days since the last post, A LOT has happened.

Mommy started work on Wednesday, and Simon started day care on Thursday. And so far so good!

But before we get to that, some photos were taken earlier in the week. Mommy, GG, Papa and Great Uncle Scott went to Wrigley on Monday night to cheer on the Cubs, who are having one of their best seasons in recent memory.

Andre "The Hawk" Dawson was honored before the game for his recent induction into the Hall of Fame.

There were some well known figures in attendance to cheer on the 1987 National League MVP. (If you need me to tell you who this is you really need to get out more).

What does he have on for the first time?

Simon's daycare is called Little Saints, which is about a mile from the hospital. They have broken ground for the new location of Little Saints, which will be on the hospital campus. It should be operational this spring or summer.

We've been telling everyone about the teeth, so see for yourself.

We had a very nice Shabbos dinner tonight, which included skirt steak. It was my first time grilling steak, and everyone seemed to be satisfied.

And finally, a motion picture.

It's Over!

The summer of relaxation has come to pass. Mommy just left for her first day of work. Wish her luck!

Also, mommy took Simon to his new doctor yesterday, and everything went well.
