The Storm

Quite a storm rolled through Skokie last night. Rachel and I had gone out to dinner, and when we returned our street was submerged in water, and there were trees and bushes down everywhere. Luckily our building was spared, but others were not as fortunate. These photos were taken this morning.















As I mentioned we were lucky. This condo is about four or five buildings south of ours on the same side of the street -- perhaps only 100 feet or so away, and had two windows blown out as well as a damaged awning. We have similar trees in front of our building.

Twins/Cubs at Wrigley

I haven't posted in a long time, but thought this would be a good opportunity to make a cameo. I went to Wrigley Field to catch my hometown Minnesota Twins play the Cubs. The Twins won 7-4! Here's a couple of photos from star catcher Joe Mauer's at-bat in the top of the first inning.
